Krueger, Violet (Marriage - 18 June 1946)

Miss Violet Krueger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Krueger, and Albin Earl Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albin Anderson, were united in marriage Tuesday, June 18th, on the silver wedding anniversary of the bride’s parents at the First Evangelical and Reformed church at Colby, Rev. Robert Leonhardt reading the marriage ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Jeanette Sixel sang "I Love You Truly" and "The Lord’s Prayer." Lavilla Neitzel was maid of honor and Lorraine Kath and Ruth Ehmke were the bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Clarence Schilling as best man and Fred Shiltz and Marvin Tauchen.

The bride was attired in a gown of blue net over satin with a sweetheart neckline with a shirred bodice and the dress ended in a long train. She wore a sweeping peacock veil, edged with lace. Her headband consisted of rhinestones and seed pearls. She carried out the old custom of something old, something new, and something borrowed and something blue. For old, she wore a pearl necklace, for something new, was her outfit; for something borrowed, was a pair of pearl earrings, and she tied her veil up with something blue. Her bouquet consisted of lilies, pink roses and swansonia. The maid of honor wore a dress of blue net over satin with a sweetheart neckline with a shirred skirt and peplum edged in pink with a matching shoulder length veil and flower headband. Lorriane Kath wore a yellow dress with lace bodice and a net skirt. Her veil and headband were the same as the maid of honor’s only yellow. Ruth Ehmke wore a similar dress of white, similar veil, only white. All three attendants had Marleen bouquets and all three wore pearls, a gift of the bride. The bride’s mother wore a floral print with white accessories.

A wedding reception, which was attended by 100 guests, was given at the home of the bride’s parents. The ceiling was decorated to match the dresses. The bride’s table was centered with a large wedding cake centered with a miniature bride and groom. In the evening, a dance was given at Walter’s pavilion at Colby, Wis.
